Location

The Sunset Village Community is located about 4 1/2 miles west of the Capitol Square. Approximately 1000 households comprise the neighborhood. The area is bordered by University Avenue on the north, Larkin Street, Owen Parkway and Eugenia Avenue on the east, Mineral Point Road on the South and Hillcrest Drive, Merlham Drive and North Midvale Boulevard on the west. The following schools serve the community: K-2 Midvale Elementary; 3-5 Lincoln School; K-8 Our Lady Queen of Peace; 6-8 Velma Hamilton Middle School; 9-12 West High School; K-12 Edgewood School.

Pets

All City of Madison residents owning a dog or cat that is 5 months of age or older must have their pet licensed. The license year is January 1 through December 31. Contact City Treasurer.

Dogs are allowed in Designated City of Madison ON-LEASH and OFF-LEASH park areas. Contact Parks Division for annual $10.00 permit. A Dane County permit for City Parks is allowed.
